She waitressed at The Goof for 68 years: now, the community celebrates her 100th birthday

Hazel Hoeg, who served at the Garden Gate Restaurant in Toronto's Beach(es) neighbourhood for nearly seven decades, turned 100 this week, and dozens of community members gathered to celebrate her milestone. It is commonly and affectionately known as The Goof, due to its sign out front saying "GOOD FOOD," where only the GOO and F are lit.
