Description

Russia targeted a leading Ukrainian drone maker - so it took its production abroad. After an alleged Russian strike on its Kyiv offices, Ukrainian drone maker Ukrspecsystems has opened its first UK factory in Mildenhall - bringing its battle-proven technology to Britain. Its Shark-M drone can loiter for seven hours and operate up to 110 miles away, using AI trained on battlefield footage to recognise Russian tanks, air defence systems and other targets. The company also produces the hand-launched Shark Mini and multi-role reconnaissance drones. The new facility was opened by Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Ukraine’s former commander-in-chief and now ambassador to the UK. So why move production overseas - and how have Ukrainian drones become so effective on the battlefield? BFBS Forces News Ukraine Reporter Simon Newton explains. #Ukraine #Russia #technology #drone
