Consumer prices in Jeju stayed in the 2-percent range for a five consecutive months, however prices for agricultural, livestock, and fisheries products rose sharply ahead of the Lunar New Year. According to the Jeju Office of Statistics’s Korea, Jeju’s consumer prices rose 2 percent from a year earlier last month. That marks five straight months of 2 percent-level inflation since September last year. The pace of inflation slowed slightly, with the increase narrowing by 0.2 percentage points from the previous month.
