Description

This is my third and final leg surgery video, and I’m sharing it the same way I’ve shared the others — real, unfiltered, and without trying to make it look perfect. This surgery marks the final chapter of my leg surgery journey. In my first surgery, 6.4L was removed from my lower legs. In the second, 7.2L was removed from the front of my upper legs and thighs. Now it’s time to tackle the back of my upper legs — the final piece of the puzzle. After being diagnosed with Stage 3 lipedema at 41, I started this journey because I was exhausted from living with pain, heaviness, and the constant feeling that my body was working against me. For decades, I was told to "just lose weight." I believed it. I blamed myself. I thought I wasn't trying hard enough. But the truth was that I was living with a chronic, progressive disease that I didn't even know existed. Like so many women with lipedema, I spent years feeling frustrated, ashamed, and confused about why my legs never looked or felt like everyone else's, no matter how hard I tried. Looking back now, it's heartbreaking to think how many women are still living with that same self-blame today. This video takes you through the final stage of my leg surgery journey — the surgery itself, recovery, the challenges, the emotional moments, and the incredible feeling of reaching a milestone that once felt impossible. While each surgery has brought its own physical challenges, this one carries a different kind of emotion. It's the realization that a chapter I've been living for decades is finally coming to an end. Lipedema isn't about vanity. It's a disease that causes pain, swelling, heaviness, mobility issues, and emotional scars that run deep. And surgery isn't cosmetic — it's about improving mobility, reducing pain, reclaiming your confidence, and getting a piece of your life back. For the first time in a very long time, I can see a future where my body isn't holding me back. And while recovery is far from over, reaching this point feels like something worth celebrating. If you've followed my journey from the beginning, thank you. Your support, encouragement, and messages have carried me through some of the toughest moments of recovery, and I'm so grateful you've been here for it all. If you haven't seen the previous surgeries, you can watch them here: PART 1 – Lower Legs (6.4L Removed): https://youtu.be/14Ak_wpw60o PART 2 – Front Upper Legs & Thighs (7.2L Removed): https://youtu.be/Su3ozjfsUWU I am endlessly grateful to Dr. Burgos and the entire Lipemedical team https://www.instagram.com/drburgosdelaobra_lipedema/ for their skill, care, and support throughout this journey. They gave me far more than new legs — they gave me hope, freedom, and a chance to live without the constant burden of lipedema. Disclaimer: While Lipemedical paid for advertising to promote their clinic, everything shared in this documentary is entirely my honest experience. I was free to document this journey with complete honesty — the good, the difficult, and everything in between.
