Description
Welcome to the latest episode of Shoe Care Academy, where Vick takes on a beat-up pair of black Timberland boots using the Reshoevn8r Essential Kit, along with mink oil and a horsehair brush.
Vick starts by removing the laces, then uses the Soft Bristle Brush to dry brush the entire boot, knocking off loose dirt and surface dust. Once that first layer is removed, he dips the brush into the cleaning solution and begins scrubbing the upper, carefully avoiding oversaturation. Using a Reshoevn8r microfiber towel, Vick makes sure to dry the boots as he goes to prevent any color bleeding.
With the upper looking much cleaner, Vick moves on to a deeper scrub using the Medium Bristle Brush, focusing on the midsole and textured areas. For premium materials like Timberland leather, he brushes in one consistent direction to avoid scuffs or unwanted texture changes.
After another wipe-down, he switches to the Stiff Bristle Brush to tackle the outsole, where dirt and grime tend to build up the most.
Before conditioning, Vick drops the laces into the bowl of solution, gives both the outsoles and laces a quick scrub, and sets everything aside to dry.
With the boot fully cleaned, it is time for conditioning and restoration. Vick applies mink oil using the Reshoevn8r horsehair brush, working it evenly into the leather to bring out a rich, smooth, revitalized finish.
The transformation is incredible. The black leather looks refreshed, conditioned, and ready for more wear. All that is left to do is lace them up.
You can achieve the same results at home using the Reshoevn8r Essential Kit, paired with mink oil and a horsehair brush.
Thanks for watching. See you next week!
