Description
Last October, mum Sandy Peters was walking with her son in London when a speeding Forest hire e-bike struck her on the pavement, slamming her face into a wall and leaving her with multiple fractures, broken teeth and life-changing injuries. She remembers lying in a pool of blood, struggling to breathe, as the full horror of the crash unfolded. Adding to her distress, Sandy later discovered that the bike operator does not provide rider liability insurance, while the underage rider responsible remains unidentified and unlikely to face consequences. Now living with PTSD and facing a £10,000 dental bill, she is questioning how such incidents can occur in places where pedestrians should feel safe.
