Baby Stylish Crop Top & Tiered Skirt with Shrug | Easy Baby Co-ord Set Cutting & Stitching Tutorial Welcome! Learn to make a printed crop top, a full gathered tiered skirt and a flowing shrug — full cutting & stitching tutorial in simple steps. Like & subscribe for more sewing projects! ⸻ Materials • Printed lightweight cotton (top, skirt, shrug) — 1.5–2 m total • Matching thread, sewing machine, scissors, pins, chalk • Elastic for skirt waist, small elastic for sleeve (optional), thin straps for crop top • Buttons/snaps (optional for shrug), measuring tape, safety pin ⸻ Pieces to cut (add 1 cm seam allowance) • Crop Top: Front on fold (or 2 halves), Back on fold (or 2 halves), 2 strap strips. • Skirt: 3 tier rectangles (lower tiers wider for fuller flare) — heights to reach floor when joined; widths = 2.5–3× previous tier width for full gathers. • Waistband/casing: rectangle = waist circumference + allowances. • Shrug: 1 large rectangle (long + wide to drape like in image) or front/back pieces with arm openings; optional facing strips for edges. ⸻ Stitching — step-by-step (short & camera-friendly) 1. Top assembly: Sew shoulder seams, finish neckline and armholes with bias or facing, attach straps, sew side seams, and finish bottom edge — you can add a small hem or facing so top sits neat at waist. 2. Skirt tiers: Hem lower edges of each tier. Sew tiers together from smallest (top) to largest (bottom): join tier seams (right sides together) then finish seam allowances. 3. Gathering: Run two long basting stitches along top edge of each lower tier and gather evenly until it matches the width of the tier above (or waistband for top tier). 4. Waist casing: Join top edge of top tier to waistband or fold top to make casing; insert elastic with safety pin, secure and evenly distribute gathers. 5. Attach skirt to top (optional): Either leave as separate pieces or stitch the skirt waistband to the crop-top hem for a set look. If attaching, match center front/back and stitch inside seam for a clean join. 6. Make shrug: Finish raw edges on the shrug rectangle. Fold and stitch side seams leaving arm openings (or cut armholes beforehand). Finish front edges with narrow facing or topstitch. Add small snaps or leave open — decorative lace trim on edges looks great. 7.
