Ferrari 296 Challenge testing at Misano World Circuit!

Just noticed I hadn't uploaded yet a video dedicated to Ferrari's current one-make series race car, the 296 Challenge. I probably know the reason.. Nonetheless, it's quite shocking considering how much these machines have improved over the previous generation (around 2 seconds faster in Misano compared to the 488 Challenge Evo), let alone the older Challenge machines. Yes, the 296 Challenge delivers more power than an old 488, but most of the gains were certainly made on the mechanical and aerodynamic front. The 296 Challenge is powered by the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine of the road-going version, but the hybrid system has been removed both to simplify the car and to make it lighter. Thanks to a new shape of the exhaust and an increased turbo boost pressure, the car is able to produce 700 hp at 7,500 rpm. Dry weight of the 296 Challenge is 1,330 kg.
