3 week trial to win a Super Rugby contract

Moana Pasifika funded a programme to host players from the Pacific Islands, New Zealand and Australia. The prize? A contract with Moana Pasifika and a chance to follow other players who came through the same trial and are now front line Super Rugby players. Semisi Tupou-Ta'eiloa came through the same programme in 2025 and led the Super Rugby Pacific competition in carries and carry metres in his rookie season. Feleti Sae-Ta'ufo'ou was in the same group and scored a hat-trick against Waratahs in his first season. Both became starters. Now the team have new graduates.
