Susan Wallace installed as first wāhine Māori Bishop of Te Waipounamu | Tahu News

In a historic first for the Anglican Church, Susan Wallace has been installed as the new bishop for Te Hui Amorangi ki te Waipounamu, following in the footsteps of her father, the late Bishop Richard Wallace. The appointment makes her the first wahine Māori to hold the role in Te Waipounamu and the only bishop with a moko kauae. Tahu News reporter Shakayla Andrews-Alapaki caught up with the newly appointed Bishop following her Ordination and Installation.
