PETA Exclusive: Extended footage of 3-year-old Vino Subito's catastrophic fatal injury

Vino Subito was fatally injured at Churchill Downs in Race #7 on April 28, 2026. This was the week of the Kentucky Derby. PETA captured exclusive footage. Vino Subito was euthanized two days later because of the severity of his injury. But Churchill Downs was not transparent and did not disclose this fatality. Churchill Downs "buried" news of this death, apparently to avoid negative publicity in advance of its lucrative Kentucky Derby. There were 19 fatalities at Churchill Downs in 2025, and the death count started this year on the first week of racing at this racetrack. Vino Subito was only three years old.
