Les Murray arrived in Australia as a child refugee from Hungary in 1957. Later, as a sport journalist and presenter for SBS, he played a major role in growing the popularity of football in Australia. He even coined the phrase 'the world game', which became the title of SBS's signature football program, which he hosted — covering eight FIFA World Cups before retiring in 2014. In 2011, Dateline followed him on a personal journey back to Hungary to find the man who helped his family escape the communist nation.
