What a Name! The Subaru version of Toyota Highlander //2027 Subaru Getaway

This is a Motormouth couple car review of the all-new 2027 Subaru Getaway 3-row electric SUV. Subaru unveils its NEW 3-row electric SUV, the Getaway at the New York Auto. It will go on-sale at the end of the year, pricing will be announced closer to that time. This is Subaru’s version of the new Toyota Highlander EV built on the shared platform. All 2027 Subaru Getaway models come standard with AWD, there is no FWD option. It gets more power than the Highlander EV, 420 horsepower, that’s an extra 82 horsepower. There are two battery sizes, a 95.8 kWh battery and a 77 kWh battery. The bigger battery will be available at launch and the smaller battery option will come sometime in 2027. The Getaway has 300+ miles/482 km of range. There are three 2027 Subaru Getaway trims available in the US, Premium, Limited and Touring with an exclusive SuperNova colour option. Wheel size ranges from 19” to 20” wheels. The 2027 Subaru Getaway has 8.3” of ground clearance and can tow 3500 pounds. It has a 0-60 MPH time of less than 5 seconds. The 2027 Subaru Getaway is a 6-7 passenger EV with either a bench seat or captain’s chairs, the third row is only two seats, but Subaru says, all rows can sit a 6-footer comfortably. Cargo space behind the second row is 45.6 cubic feet and behind the third row 15.9 cubic feet.
