Short-eared Brushtail Possum Calls - Screeches & coughing growls

Harsh screeches & coughing calls of the Short-eared Brushtail Possum. Similar to its cousin the Common Brushtail Possum, Short-eared Brushtail Possums make a range of scary sounds at night including shrieks, growls, and hisses. The Short-eared Brushtail Possum (Trichosurus caninus) sounds in this video were recorded in Queensland, Australia. This species is closely related to the Mountain Brushtail Possum (Trichosurus cunninghamii) found south of Sydney. Both of these possums are colloquially referred to as 'Bobucks'.
