Triduum to The Sacred Heart of Jesus 2026 - Day one

Welcome to our Triduum in honour of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. Our first evening is led by Archbishop Eamon Martin. For three evenings, we will gather online as a Diocesan family to draw near to the Heart of Christ - pierced for us on the Cross, burning with love, mercy, and compassion for all. Let us begin. Opening Intention – where we will pause and allow your to name your intentions. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. O Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, fountain of all love, mercy, and grace, I come before You with trust and humility. I offer this novena in union with Your Sacred Heart, asking for the grace of deeper love for You and placing before You my intentions, especially:� (pause and name your intentions) Scripture Reading John 19:33–34 A reading from the Holy Gospel according to John. “When they came to Jesus they thought that he was already dead, so they did not break his legs.
