Why Japan’s Beaches Suddenly Turned Gray

Tourists in Okinawa were shocked when huge amounts of strange gray material suddenly began covering beaches, ports, and boats across the coastline. The floating debris was actually pumice stone created by a massive underwater volcanic eruption far out in the Pacific Ocean.
