A new poll suggests Andy Burnham could win the Makerfield by-election because the Right-wing vote is being split between Reform UK and Restore Britain. Burnham is narrowly ahead on 46 per cent, with Reform’s Robert Kenyon on 41 per cent and Restore Britain on 7 per cent, enough to potentially swing the result. The race is still extremely close, but the numbers suggest Rupert Lowe’s party could end up blocking Nigel Farage’s side from taking the seat. If Burnham wins, it would put him on course to return to Westminster and increase pressure on Keir Starmer.
