Love is both the heart of God and the human test of faith. Discussion Questions: 1. Where did you notice yourself in the story today? More with the younger/prodigal son, the older/dutiful son, or somewhere in between? What stood out to you about that? 2. "Love begins with God’s movement toward us, not our effort toward God. How does that challenge or change the way you think about faith, God, or yourself right now? 3. When you think about Advent beginning “in the dark,” what kinds of darkness, waiting, or questions feel real in your own life or community this season? 4. Jesus’ picture of love is welcoming, risky, and not very “efficient.” What might Advent love look like in a small, practical way for you—or for your group—this week?
