In this session we will first take brief look at the history of this feature requests and I will outline common use cases. Then we'll look at examples of how downsampling use cases can be solved today with Prometheus. Last but not least we'll explore some upcoming features and undecided feature requests that could open up new setups, as well as scenarios that will forever stay outside of Prometheus' scope.
