Description
We took three MDC caravans to Bribie Island to prove it’s one of the best (and most underrated) day trips in Queensland.
We put different setups to the test on one of the most notorious beach access tracks in the country.
After tackling soft sand on the access track we hit the beach, crossed tricky tidal sections, and made our way to Mermaid Lagoon for a well-earned break.
From there, we explored Fort Bribie — a hidden WWII site with a fascinating history — before setting up camp on the eastern side of the island.
This is how to do Bribie Island properly.
