Mumbai inundated by monsoon rains

Heavy monsoon rains have paralysed Mumbai, flooding roads and disrupting flights and train services. More than 600 people were rescued from a stranded monorail, while 21 people have died across Maharashtra in rain-related incidents. The city has received 800mm of rain in just four days, prompting a red alert as authorities warn of more heavy rainfall.
