Welcome to Day Two of the Diocesan Triduum in honour of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus led by Diocesan Youth at the Basilica in Knock. Opening Intention – where we will pause and allow your to name your intentions. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. O Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, fountain of all love, mercy, and grace, I come before You with trust and humility. I offer this novena in union with Your Sacred Heart, asking for the grace of deeper love for You and placing before You my intentions, especially: (pause and name your intentions) Scripture Reading Matthew 11:28–30 A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew. “Come to me, all of you who work hard and who carry heavy burdens and I will refresh you. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble of heart and you will find rest. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to You, Lord Jesus Christ. Brief Reflection The Heart of Jesus welcomes the weary and the wounded. In Him, we find rest, healing, and peace. Prayer Let us pray. O Sacred Heart of Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make our hearts like Yours. Teach us gentleness, patience, and mercy. Heal our Diocese, parishes, our families, and our world. May all who come to Your Heart find rest and hope. Sacred Heart of Jesus, we trust in You. Amen.
