The film explores Diego's emotional turmoil as he prepares to leave Earth, revealing the heart-wrenching pain of separation and the enduring power of human connections. Alpha 27 is a compelling story of love, loss, and resilience. Director's Statement: Alpha 27 is a deeply personal narrative, rooted in my journey as an international filmmaker starting a new life abroad and my experiences navigating the complexities of bureaucracy. The story delves into the emotional journey of Diego, an interstellar immigrant who must face the challenges of forced separation from his partner due to circumstances beyond his control. The film critiques the dehumanizing aspects of bureaucratic systems that reduce individuals to mere numbers, ignoring the rich tapestry of their lives and relationships.
