People, today, we're in Lagos. It's Sunday, 6 PM. The drums are beating. They’re beating for the locals’ favorite event, the local traditional fights. They are extremely popular here. You can see lots of men coming here from all over the place. The place is packed. People are sitting anywhere they can find a spot – on the walls, on the roofs of nearby houses. Everyone wants to see the fight. You know, there’s an insane concentration of male energy here. There are only men here. I don't know, any woman, I think, if she ended up here, she would have a very interesting experience feeling this atmosphere because it's just... You know, I think more than a thousand men are here, and that’s just the audience. And it feels a lot like a real MMA event. These are known as Dambe fights. Dambe is a local martial art with very few restrictions. There are three rounds with no time limit. Fighters are allowed to hit anywhere. They are hitting each other in the neck, on the head. And they are wearing no protection. Tears are flowing, blood is flowing. But the fight doesn't stop – until there’s a knockdown.  This is Lyadov and How people live from Lagos, Nigeria.
