QLD Greens and ACL Fight Gambling

We’ve joined together to call for a ban on gambling ads in Queensland. Gambling losses in Queensland hit a record $6.53 billion in 2023–24. That is a 52% increase since 2018–19. Every dollar lost carries a real human cost, from addiction and family stress to financial hardship. Children are exposed to these ads every day, putting them at risk of a lifetime of harm. Our petition calls on the Government to remove gambling ads from Government assets and review its policies to reduce gambling harm.
