Day 1 | World's Hardest Pokemon Challenge (Emerald Standard IronMON) #pokemon #ironmon #nuzlocke

I just started the world's hardest Pokemon challenge, the IronMON Challenge. "But I'm good at Pokemon," I thought, "this'll be easy, right?" Wrong. In a Standard IronMon, everything's randomized, fainted Pokémon are gone forever, and levels are increased by 50% (amongst other difficulty-inducing rules). Today is Day 1. The difficulty became obvious when May extinguished the lives of my first three Pokemon: troublesum, dr eggman, and Destiny. But, on my fourth attempt, I was blessed with Tangy the Metang. This time, May's Gorebyss got kerblooy'ed. Fresh off victory, I caught KERCHOWWWW the Tauros, and faced my next major foe: Elitetrainer Esteban Poison tail blows against Crobat, so I innovated by, you guessed it, sleeping and drinking milk while Crobat gets hailed on. Over and over. Until I got bored, and kerchow'ed to victory. Next, I caught ENUMCLAW the masquerain (horse sounds), and Lord Helix the Omastar. Smooth sailing. Until I tried levelling up ENUMCLAW, and... well... A slightly broken man, I ended Day 1 in Rustboro City, ready to face my first gym ever tomorrow, but only if you subscribe for Day 2. ---- Learnings: REALLY MAKE SURE THE GREENSCREEN IS WELL LIT ON THE BOTTOM I think it's really hard to condense all the info I need into 60 seconds, so... maybe try focusing on more major events next time.
