How to Install a License Plate Bracket on a BMW

How to install a license plate bracket on a BMW E90. This car originally came from the US and unfortunately, it is law to have one in Canada. #bmw #howto #bmwe90 BMW E90 PN - 51-11-7-143-749-BOE Amazon affiliated links for heat set threaded inserts: US: https://amzn.to/3XSDE6v Canada: https://amzn.to/4gUaPiC First, start by washing the vehicle and, if you wish, waxing behind this bracket.  Install the bracket and align the bracket tabs with the notches at the bottom of the bumper. Then use a drill to mark the holes.  Then drill the holes. I modified the bracket slightly, I installed heated threaded brass inserts. The holes were drilled out larger and then the inserts were installed with a soldering iron.  Finally, the bracket is installed with stainless steel screws.  Then the license plate is installed with socket head fasteners, I’ll eventually switch these out to stainless steel.
