Mike Johnson Just Defended Congressional Stock Trading

Whatever you think about raising congressional salaries, saying members of Congress should be allowed to trade stocks with insider information to “take care of their family” is outrageous. Public service should not come with the ability to profit off information the public doesn’t have. If lawmakers want the public’s trust, they should ban congressional stock trading, not defend it.
