Here’s 7 tips to help you make the most of your money, part 2. My next tip is to contact your providers, like your water, electricity or rates. Ask them about paying bills in smaller amounts, more often. Just make sure you aren’t being charged more by making smaller payments than you would if you paid it as a lump sum. Tip 6 is to watch how you use your credit card. Wherever possible, pay off the monthly debt before it’s due. If you can’t pay it off in full, then pay as much off the card as you can afford. If you only pay the minimum, it will take years to pay off the debt in full. By making higher repayments, you’ll clear the debt sooner and save money. And lastly, shop around. If you haven’t looked recently, now is a good time to look at what other offers are out there. Don’t renew any contracts without checking for other options.
