AC-130J Employing Raytheon Low Cost Light Weight Guided Missile

Raytheon has developed a lightweight, low-cost precision-guided missile that any airman, soldier, or sailor can handle easily. And the AC-130Js employ these now. The AGM-176 GRIFFIN missile is employed by standing it up in a launcher in the aft cargo side door. Griffin then powers up after clearing the plane and tracks a laser dot.
