Schizophrenia Gets in the Way of Daily Life Sometimes even simple things like folding laundry aren’t simple. With schizophrenia, I get interrupted by hallucinations talking to me. It’s like trying to focus while someone won’t stop asking questions. So yeah, it takes longer. Hi, I’m Michelle, I live with schizophrenia. To show that my psychosis isn’t violent or dangerous, I set up a security camera in my apartment. What it captures is me on my couch: talking to myself, reacting to things no one else sees, making weird faces… but never hurting anyone.
