Supporting Kids’ Mental Health: Siena and Leonardo’s AdventHealth for Children Story

When Sondra Rae began thinking about therapy for her children, Siena and Leonardo, she realized something important: there doesn’t have to be something “wrong” to start caring for your child’s mental health. Through her family’s journey, Sondra Rae discovered that therapy can be a proactive way to help kids build confidence, process emotions, and develop the tools they need to thrive. AdventHealth for Children and Heart of Florida United Way are working together to break the stigma around mental health through the Be A Mindleader initiative. One key part of this effort is the Mental Health Navigators, a dedicated team that helps guide families toward the right resources and support.
