Description
SPAM BAKE
1 can of spam, diced
2 TBSP soy sauce
1.5 TBSP sugar
1.5 TBSP water
3 cups cooked white rice
1 TBSP rice vinegar
Furikake, as needed
Siracha, garnish
Spicy mayo, garnish
Chopped scallion, garnish
Black/ white sesame seeds, garnish
1. Heat up some oil and cook spam. Create and even layer/ base of spam and leave to cook untouched for 2 mins. Repeat this 1 more time.
2. Then add: 2 TBSP soy sauce, 1.5 TBSP sugar and 1.5 TBSP water. Combine this well.. your sauce will slightly thicken up/ become sticky. You don’t want to cook this for too long.
3. In a baking dish, add 3 cups of white cooked rice, even out the rice but don’t flatten the rice, yet. Then sprinkle furikake seasoning all over your rice.
4. Top (cooked) spam all over rice then flatten spam into rice. Bake at 380 for 10 mins.
5. After 10 mins, top with: sirarcha, spicy mayo, chopped scallion and sesame seeds.
6. I like to eat mine wrapped in seaweed with either: cucumber, jalapenos and/or avocados.
