Last week, an illegal immigrant from India—who reportedly could not speak English and therefore could not read basic road signs—was accused of running a red light in Indiana, crashing into two vehicles, and killing a man. This is not an isolated case. Across the country, there have been multiple incidents involving noncitizens operating commercial vehicles who allegedly lacked proper vetting, language proficiency, or lawful status—incidents that have left innocent Americans seriously injured or dead. There's a simple solution to this, however: "Foreign-held commercial driver's licenses should be banned, period," said Tony Kinnett. "I don't care. I know you want your cheap labor. I don't care. ...At least we could start taking the deaths of Hoosier citizens at the hands of immigrant CDL holders seriously."
