Apply to become speaker at Josh Talks - https://forms.gle/d23aj3x7c5BuBjnf6 Mrs. Nipra Majumdar, from West Bengal, served as a sub-inspector of schools. Her life changed when her son Sandeep was diagnosed with blood cancer. Even during chemotherapy, Sandeep had an unbreakable passion for education—he used to study on his hospital bed. While going for treatment, Sandeep often saw small children roaming on the streets with sacks on their shoulders, collecting waste. One day he told his mother: “Maa, I take a promise today… These children will go to school.” But Mrs. Majumdar wondered, “His own life is uncertain… how will he fulfill such a big dream?” On 29 January 1994, she lost Sandeep forever. Soon after, she received a transfer call from Delhi to Kolkata. But after losing her son, she had no desire left to continue her government job. She resigned. Even after Sandeep’s death, the image of children carrying sacks and school bags kept haunting her. She then made a promise to herself: “I will fulfill my son’s dream. I will give education to every child who is forced to pick rags.” Today, through the Samriddhi Ladli Centre, she has empowered and educated thousands of underprivileged children. At the age of 72, she continues to fulfil her son’s last wish— To give every child the right to education and dignity. 0:00— Highlights 0:36— Introduction 1:37— The Cancer Diagnosis 3:50 — Sandeep’s Dreams & Curiosity 7:15— leaving government job 8:52 — Harsh Truth of Society & Poor Children 9:32— Birth of Samridhi Learning Centre 12:22— Impact: 2000 Lives Transformed #joshtalks #indianmothers #cancersurvivorstories #chilhoodmemories Disclaimer The views, information, opinions, and beliefs expressed in this video are personal to the speaker and are expressed in good faith.
