Description

It's been a hot minute since my last review of a Caledonia Works product, but I haven't forgotten about the developer in question. This is a review of (what is currently) the newest add-on in their range. The LNER 'F7' was a 2-4-2 tank engine originally known as the Great Eastern Railway 'Y65' class. There were only 12 examples of this design, built at Stratford Works in 1909 and 1910, and they were initially used on commuter services in north-east London. Three of them worked in Scotland later in life, and only two of them made it into British Railways ownership, but they were withdrawn in 1948 without ever receiving BR numbers or liveries.
