Bodycam Shows Chicago Officer Shot by Her Own Partner

The pursuit led them into an apartment building, where the suspect ran upstairs and into a unit, with both officers following within seconds. As they moved through the building, the situation escalated quickly. The suspect forced his way into an apartment, and the officers reached the door moments later. Officer Baker moved ahead and kicked the door open while Officer Rivera was just behind him in the hallway. Inside, there were indications of at least one other person, and at least one individual appeared to be holding a firearm. The footage shows him eventually dragging her toward the building’s exit as other officers arrived.
