Description
There’s one modification every truck needs- especially a work truck.
Let me show you these RAD Truck Straps.
I’ve had them for over two years; there’s only one problem. They don’t retract anymore.
But here’s the thing, you can buy just the ratchet straps by themselves.
This is not a sponsored ad- I just love these things… no more digging around in the truck for straps.
The replacement rachet straps came with new hardware and an allen wrench tool- I’m reusing the orginal plates.
They’re mounted to the plate with two screws- the one in the top uses a washer.
Once I get it tight, I pull the strap all the way out to access the screw on the bottom.
The rachet straps mount into the stock Ford position on the side of the bed and they’re actually DOT certified.
The straps are 9 feet long and have a 400-pound workload limit. I use them every time I haul something.
I actually have two, one on both sides of my truck and I also have these hook plates that are easy to hook into.
One thing’s for sure- that’s not going anywhere. @hausplans
