What's the mainstream media's beef with social media? Have you noticed some the mainstream media (e.g. Stuff) have removed themselves completely from social media, or the media report negatively about the social media platforms, especially about X (owned by Elon Musk). That's because social media has become the alternative news source, it's the msm's direct competition - so they hate it. But they especially hate X.
