FROM THE FOUNDATION Before the earth was set in place, Before the dawn of time and space, The Lamb was known, a plan was sure, A work eternal, firm and pure. Before the fall, before man’s grave, Before a soul God bound to save, His purpose stood, His will proclaimed, The Lamb was slain, His life He gave. First death of Christ, did no man see, His death again upon a tree, Was manifest at the end of the age, To be witnessed and proclaimed. Christ died and then, He rose again, The first begotten paid for sin, Not at the cross of Calvary, Redemption’s work was in eternity.
