Three key routes in the capital are set to become signal-free through the construction of flyovers. These routes are: Ashram to Badarpur, Mehrauli to Gurgaon, and Punjabi Bagh to Tikri Road. The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways noted that commuting on these routes currently consumes a significant amount of time. Previously, a single journey on these stretches would take approximately one hour. Following the construction of the flyovers, this travel time is expected to be reduced to between 15 and 30 minutes. Harsh Malhotra, the Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways, informed that these routes have recently been brought under the purview of the National Highways Authority. Additionally, several other projects are currently underway to mitigate traffic-related issues within the capital and its surrounding areas.
