India is strengthening groundwater management through extensive monitoring networks and major initiatives such as Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch the Rain, Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari, Atal Bhujal Yojana, Mission Amrit Sarovar, NAQUIM 2.0, and the Master Plan for Artificial Recharge to Groundwater 2020. Supported by the Model Groundwater Bill, these efforts advance recharge, regulation, and SDG-linked water sustainability nationwide.
