Social media posts have shown Eala practicing to a backdrop of many supporters. Fans are trying to catch a glimpse of the Filipino tennis ace even before the tournament starts. Eala gamely signed autograph requests after her practice sessions. She is seeded 31st in the Indian Wells Open. Eala will open her campaign against either Chinese Zhang Shuai or Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska in the round of 64 likely on Friday or Saturday.
