Description
Tutorial video on recharging ac air conditioner on Ford Focus. I will show you how to add refrigerant to your car’s a/c system using a DIY A/C recharge kit.
To do this yourself, you will need:

Step-by-Step A/C Recharge Process:
1. Check the label on the radiator support to confirm the correct refrigerant type for your Ford Focus.
2. Locate and remove the cap from the low-pressure A/C charging port.
3. Connect the refrigerant can to the recharge hose.
4. Attach the other end of the hose to the low-pressure charging port.
5. Pierce the refrigerant can by turning the knob clockwise all the way in.
6. Start the vehicle and set A/C to MAX, Fan speed to highest setting
7. Slowly turn the knob counterclockwise to begin adding refrigerant.
8. Monitor the pressure gauge carefully to avoid overcharging the system. Overcharging the A/C system can damage the a/c compressor.
Once the system is properly charged:
- Turn off the engine
- Disconnect the hose and refrigerant can
- Reinstall the protective cap on the charging port
This procedure will only work if:
- The A/C compressor is functioning properly
- There are no leaks in the a/c lines
