Flying high with Kookaburra and Brolga: New mungbean varieties

We know Brolga and Kookaburra are great Aussie birds, but they are also now the names of two new game changing varieties of mungbeans. The varieties have been developed through the National Mungbean Improvement Program which is a co-investment between GRDC and the Queensland Department of Primary Industries. To find out how growers can access these new, higher yielding mungbean varieties, we spoke to Queensland Department of Primary Industries principal plant breeder, Dr Merrill Ryan.
