Julio is 20 years old, living in rural Canada, attending college, and trying to build a future despite enormous challenges. After a car accident and ongoing health complications, including living with disabilities, he found himself homeless and relying on a temporary hotel program to keep a roof over his head. When that program ends, his future remains uncertain. His story shines a light on several growing but often overlooked crises: youth homelessness, rural homelessness, and the challenges faced by people with disabilities who are struggling to find stable housing. While homelessness is often associated with large cities, many young people in smaller communities across Canada are facing the same hardships with even fewer resources available. Despite homelessness, uncertainty, and health challenges, he continues working toward his education and refuses to give up on his future.
