Add dry yeast and mix well. Cover and set aside for 10-15 minutes for activation. - ⁠Take whole wheat flour in a large bowl, add yeast, oil, salt and water. Mix well and knead for 10-15 minutes manually or for 5-7 minutes using a stand mixer or hand beater with dough hook attachment. - ⁠Add oil and bring the dough together. Cover and let it proof until it doubles in size. May take 1-2 hours depending on the weather. - ⁠Deflate the dough and divide into 8 equal portions. - ⁠Using flour, roll each dough ball into paratha like thick sheets. - ⁠Cook on tawa like a phulka or bake in an oven. - ⁠Preheat oven at 230°C for 10 minutes and bake the pita bread in batches for 6-7 minutes. - ⁠Cut pita bread and add fillings as per your liking and enjoy!
