Her hose was LEFT RUNNING and that’s when he found her DEAD ON THE PORCH

I actually got an email from a church right behind this property. They told me an older couple had attended their services for years, and that both of them had passed away, and the house had been sitting untouched ever since. At least three years. So I called the woman who reached out to get a little more information, and she confirmed the owners didn't have any kids, just some nieces or nephews who inherited the place and don't live in town. Nobody's been sending anyone out to maintain it. So I went out to take a look and decided to go knock on the door just in case. Nobody answered, but the next door neighbor noticed me and came over. He told me the wife had really loved this yard. Her gardening, her grass she kept it all up herself. Then one day he noticed her hose was left on and water was running everywhere. So he went to check on her, and that's when he found her. She had passed away on her front porch. Because of the big hedgerow along the front of the house, nobody driving by would have ever noticed. After she passed, the house went back to the bank on a reverse mortgage, and it's just been sitting ever since. The city wasn't sending anyone. The bank wasn't sending anyone. And it was starting to drag down the whole block. This ended up being a way bigger job than I expected. I spent two full days here edging the driveway, the sidewalks, and the curbs, and then working through what had to be over two acres of overgrown grass. There were also storm limbs scattered everywhere, so I had to walk the entire property multiple times just to clear those out before I could even start mowing. And I made sure to leave all of her landscaping beds untouched — they were still really pretty, and there wasn't much weed growth in them at all. It felt right to leave that part of her alone. Right as I was wrapping up, a couple of realtors pulled in and said they were there to take listing photos. So by the time you're watching this, it's probably already sold.
