Back home, his guardian Father Joseph encourages him to settle down and consider marriage. When Ajit visits a prospective bride named Kanchan, he is delighted to see she looks just like the woman he met earlier. He happily agrees, but soon learns that Kanchan is actually the twin sister of that woman. Though Kanchan feels disappointed, she still wishes for her sister’s happiness. Ajit later meets Kamini, the woman from the rest house, who recognizes him and stirs emotional confusion.
