Strong storms possible as White House prepares for UFC Freedom 250 event

We are watching this weekend as the D.C. region is on weather alert with heat, humidity, and an approaching cold front that could bring strong storms later in the day. The severe weather could potentially affect evening plans for fans heading out to watch UFC Freedom 250. According to recent forecasts, the strongest storms could bring heavy rain, gusty winds and dangerous lightning. The day is starting warm, with temperatures in the 70s across parts of the region and winds from the south-southwest. The main storm threat is expected later in the day, especially during the late afternoon and evening hours.
